Terms of Sale and Terms of Use

1. Introduction

These terms govern access to and use of the Nodal software by its subscribers (interior designers, decorators and studios). Creating an account and subscribing to a plan constitute unreserved acceptance of these Terms of Sale and Terms of Use.

2. Description of the Service

Nodal Reno publishes and operates Nodal, an online management software (SaaS) for interior designers and decorators: quote creation, pricing library, client portal, project pipeline and related modules. The service is available on a subscription basis, with no installation, from a web browser.

3. Pricing and Payment

Subscription prices are shown in euros excluding VAT and detailed on the Pricing page. The subscription is billed monthly, with no commitment, and can be cancelled at any time ; it ends at the close of the current billing period.

4. Pricing library: anonymised, aggregated contribution

4.1 Principle. Nodal provides its users with a library of construction prices (indicative ranges per work item and per geographic area). To keep it up to date, Nodal Reno may use, only in anonymised and aggregated form, the unit prices recorded in the user's account: (a) prices entered in “My items” or imported from a PDF quote; (b) prices entered in their cost estimates (DPGF); (c) unit prices submitted by the contractors they consult through the service. This applies to accounts that have accepted version 2 of these terms.

4.2 Data used. Only the following are used: the item description and unit, the library work item it is linked to, the unit price excluding VAT, the trade, the pricing area derived from the project location (never the address) and the month.

4.3 Data never used. The following are never collected for the library: the name of the user, their firm or their colleagues; the name, contact details or company number of contractors; the names and contact details of clients and project owners; project addresses; files and file names (PDF quotes, documents); comments and terms attached to offers.

4.4 Anonymity threshold. A user-derived price is only published if it is based on at least five data points from at least three distinct accounts, for a given area or nationwide. Only statistical indicators are published (median and quartiles). No individual price, no minimum or maximum, and no information that could link a price to a user, a firm or a contractor is ever shown to anyone, including other users. The library may show the number of projects on which a price was observed.

4.5 Purpose. This data is used exclusively to establish and update the library's reference prices. It is never sold, transferred, or used to train an artificial intelligence model. For this purpose, Nodal Reno acts as data controller, on the basis of its legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR).

4.6 Duration. Aggregates are recalculated at most once a month, from the data present in accounts at that date. Source data remains in the user's account and follows its retention period. Published aggregates, being anonymous, are kept indefinitely.

4.7 Right to object. The user may object to this use at any time, free of charge and without any impact on the service, from Settings → Account or by email to dpo@nodalreno.com. The objection takes effect from the next calculation; aggregates already published, being anonymous, cannot be recalculated. For a workspace shared by several colleagues, the choice belongs to the subscription holder.

4.8 Consulted contractors. Contractors who respond to a consultation through the service are informed of this on the response page and may object to the use of their prices by email to dpo@nodalreno.com.
