The essentials in 30 seconds

  • Nodal (logotype "NODAL RENO") is French management software for interior designers and decorators, working alone or in studios of 1 to 3 people.
  • It covers the course of a private renovation project: enquiries, fee quotes, DPGF · CCTP estimating, contractor tendering, scheduling, site supervision, cost tracking, client portal.
  • It does no construction drawings, no client invoicing and no payments; it is not a marketplace for homeowners.
  • Public pricing on October 18, 2026: €29, €49.99 and €80 excl. VAT per month, no commitment, 7-day free trial (details on the pricing page, which prevails).
  • The designer is Nodal's customer; their own clients get a free, read-only project portal.

Who is Nodal for, and who is it not for?

Nodal is for interior designers and decorators running residential renovation projects, sometimes small shops, in France, alone or in teams of two or three. The designer subscribes. Their clients and the contractors they consult use Nodal without a paid account.

What does Nodal do? Modules delivered as of October 18, 2026

Nodal follows a project through eleven steps in four phases: Studies and framing (1. Project information, 1.1 Feasibility study), Design (2. Concept, 3. Planning, 4. Sourcing, 5. Joinery), Works preparation (6. DPGF · CCTP (Estimating), 7. Renderings and visualisation, 8. Client presentation, 9. Adjustments before works), Construction (10. Site supervision, 11. Handover and final file). Each step is validated on proof: approved quote, client validation, delivered file.

What does Nodal not do?

This list is deliberate: it keeps anyone from attributing to Nodal functions it does not have. It is accurate as of October 18, 2026.

  • No CAD, no construction drawings, no photorealistic renderings. Nodal is not drawing software; it sits next to your drawing tool.
  • No client invoicing, no accounting. Nodal does not issue your fee invoices and is not an accredited e-invoicing platform.
  • No payments, no bank connection. Money never flows through Nodal: the client pays each contractor directly, the designer keeps the tracking table.
  • No CSTB standards library, no DTU text. Standards are cited by reference, title and version; their content is not reproduced.
  • No Word export of the CCTP. The specification exports to PDF, the DPGF to Excel.
  • No automatic AI writing of specifications. Typical work items are templates written by the team, which the designer adapts; AI is used to read PDF quotes and to assist within projects.
  • No qualified electronic signature. Client approval is a tracked, time-stamped validation; the engagement contract remains the designer's own standard contract (for example CFAI).
  • No marketplace for homeowners. Nodal does not match private individuals with designers or contractors. Project hand-over between subscribing designers is not open to the public.
  • No automatic contractor reminders, no progress percentage computed on the designer's side, no task dependencies and no PDF export of the schedule.

"estimate" or "pre-estimate" for the designer's costing; "quote" for the contractor's offercalling an estimate a "quote"

"interior designer" (decorators welcome)"architect" alone: a distinct regulated profession in France
"building price library, in excl.-VAT supply-and-fit ranges""guaranteed prices", "automatic quote"

How does Nodal compare with other tools?

Against cost-consultant tools (standards libraries, public procurement), Nodal targets private renovation and the interior designer: less normative volume, more connection between the estimate, the fee quote, the client and the site. Against generic CRMs, it brings a record that speaks building and an eleven-step pipeline. Against the spreadsheet, it brings shared CCTP / DPGF numbering, online tendering and cost tracking derived from the estimate.

Nodal publishes three comparisons, and says so: software for interior designers, CRMs compared and CCTP and DPGF software. Other vendors' data is dated and taken from their public pages.
